Our Team

The AHS is not just run for students, but by students as well. The organisation is run by the Committee: an elected body made up of students from each of our member societies. The Committee are the main decision-making body of the AHS and shape the direction of the organisation.

Each full member of the AHS is given two seats on the Committee - one for the president of the society and the other to an elected representative. These change on a yearly basis so if you want to help shape the AHS why not stand for AHS Representative at the next election of your society?

The Executive

The Executive is a team of students elected from the Committee, given extra positions of leadership and responsibility. While the Committee makes the decisions, it is the Executive team that decides on how they can be best implemented. There are three permanent positions on the Executive: president, secretary and treasurer.

Officers

Running a national organisation is no easy task, and so the Committee can appoint officers when necessary to carry out specific tasks. You can find out more about our officers here.

Board of Trustees

To ensure the organisation is operating within the bounds of the law and to bring some experience to the organisation as well as holding the organisation's assets in trust, our board of trustees watches over the organisation. You can find out more about our trustees here.
